A couple of months ago, I was lucky enough to do an engagement shoot for Julie and Brian. I always feel so privileged when I get asked to shoot a wedding for a client after shooting an engagement portrait for them. It is wonderful to see how relationships have progressed from the giddy and excited time of engagement to the emotional and all consuming wedding day.
It was surprisingly calm in the bride’s dressing room that day, everyone was working hard on doing up those tiny gorgeous buttons. If you’re nervous, forget it – those buttons can challenge the nerves of any bride! Julie, however, was so relaxed she could have been hanging out sipping a mai tai:
Isn’t she gorgeous? Again, that amazing hair – but I digress….
And how awesome is her pink slip, and those shoes? Loving the hot pink:
As far as ceremonies go, this one was outstanding! There was a last minute change of plan from an outside wedding to inside, as the snow started to fall. Unfazed, it went off without a hitch and was incredibly moving. Two exceptional singers had the entire congregation in tears with their incredible voices. When they hit their first note, there was a stunned silence from everyone and you could have heard a pin drop – I was not the only one trying to remain composed while they finished their songs. And it kept getting better from there, with heart-felt vows and shaky-handed ring exchanges:
The snow was kind enough to have stopped in time for some portraits. I love this one of Brian, he was so happy and proud to be Julie’s husband and it really showed:

Rounded off with a rocking reception, for a rocking couple:

Julie and Brian, thank you for trusting me with your wedding. I hope that the pictures show your wonderful sense of fun and the beauty of your love for one another.
